There are a handful of things in this world I just know I like. Toes in the sand, Cubs on a summer afternoon, joyride on my scooter, classic Caesar salad.
It’s hard to mess with perfection.
Sometimes travel fulfills and satifies you…
sometimes leaves wanting more
sometimes you just know you’ll be back
I try not to over-hype places. Catherine Volini and Garden State. I want to see colors.
Hoi An was just different.
Perhaps it was just the convergence of so many things going right
peaking in my travel (confidence)
excellent backdrop (great mix of history, new, beach)
magical journey in…
Ho Chi Minh, then home. Chicago for 3 months.
Went traveling again. Central and western Europe, Egypt, Cambodia…then met a friend going back to Vietnam…joined along…
And still.
Along my travels, I met someone who told me, “you can’t step in the same river twice.” While you may revisit a physical place, the people and the experiences surrounding it made it unique to itself. Similarly, who you are while you were there…may change.
